Trauma responses are often driven by the nervous system rather than conscious thought. You may logically know that a situation is safe, yet still experience anxiety, overwhelm, emotional reactivity, shutdown, or physical symptoms. This doesn't mean you're broken, it means your nervous system learned to protect you in the past and may still be responding as if danger is present. Therapy can help your brain and body update those patterns so you can respond more flexibly and feel more at ease in the present.

I am an out-of-network provider, which allows our work together to be guided by your needs rather than insurance requirements. This means we can focus on meaningful, personalized care without limitations related to diagnoses, treatment plans, or session caps imposed by an insurance company.
If you'd like to seek reimbursement, I can provide a Superbill (a detailed receipt) that you may submit to your insurance provider for possible out-of-network benefits. I recommend contacting your insurance company directly to ask about your coverage for out-of-network outpatient mental health services.

Intensive Therapy Fees:
Intensives offer the opportunity for deeper, more focused work in a longer therapy format.

A consultation is required prior to scheduling an intensive to ensure it is a good fit for your goals and needs.

You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many people seek support when they feel overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, anxious, emotionally reactive, or impacted by past experiences. Therapy can provide a safe space to better understand yourself, develop new tools, and create meaningful, lasting change. If you're wondering whether therapy could help, a consultation can be a good place to start.

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We'll discuss what brings you to therapy, your goals, relevant life experiences, and any questions you may have about the process. There is no pressure to share everything at once. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, understood, and supported as we begin building a plan that fits your needs.

While insight and understanding are important, healing often requires more than simply talking about what happened. Trauma and stress can become stored not only in our thoughts but also in our bodies and nervous systems. I integrate approaches such as EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, and other nervous system-informed therapies to help address the deeper patterns that keep people feeling stuck. This allows healing to occur on both a cognitive and physiological level.

No. One of the biggest misconceptions about trauma therapy is that healing requires repeatedly telling your story. While there may be times when discussing aspects of your experiences is helpful, approaches such as EMDR and Somatic Experiencing allow us to work with the impact of trauma without requiring you to relive every detail. We move at a pace that feels safe and supportive for you.

A therapy intensive is an extended therapy session that provides the opportunity to do deeper, more focused work than is typically possible in a standard 55-minute session. Intensives can be especially helpful for addressing trauma, working through a specific issue, preparing for a life transition, or accelerating progress when you feel stuck. Many clients find that the uninterrupted time allows for greater insight, healing, and momentum.
